Safety Information
General Safety Precautions
- Always operate the heater in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep flammable materials at a safe distance from the heater.
- Ensure the heater is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
- Do not block air intake or exhaust vents.
- Keep children and pets away from the heater during operation.
- Never leave the heater unattended while in use.
Built-in Safety Features
- Tip-Over Protection: The heater is equipped with a safety mechanism that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally tipped over.
- Overheat Protection: An internal sensor monitors the heater's temperature and will automatically shut off the unit if it reaches an unsafe temperature, preventing overheating.
- Oxygen Depletion Safety Shut-Off System (ODS): This system includes a sensor built into the pilot burner assembly, electrode, and thermocouple. It is designed to shut off the main burner and pilot gas if the oxygen content in the room falls below a predetermined safe level.
- CSA Certified: This product is CSA certified for both outdoor and indoor use. Warning: When used indoors, ensure adequate ventilation.

Setup Instructions
Connecting the Propane Cylinder
- Ensure the heater's control knob is in the "OFF" position.
- Connect the propane cylinder (1lb or 20lb) to the heater's gas inlet. For 20lb cylinders, a refill adapter and hose (not included) are required.
- Tighten all connections securely to prevent gas leaks.
- Check for gas leaks using a soapy water solution on all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. Do not operate if a leak is detected.

Operating Instructions
Starting the Heater
- Ensure the propane cylinder is connected and the gas supply is open.
- Turn the control knob to the "PILOT" position and press it down.
- While holding the knob down, press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites.
- Continue to hold the control knob down for 30-60 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
- Release the control knob. If the pilot flame extinguishes, repeat steps 2-4.
- Once the pilot flame is stable, turn the control knob to the desired heat setting (MIN to MAX).
Adjusting Temperature
The integrated thermostat allows you to set your desired heat level. Rotate the thermostat knob to increase or decrease the heat output. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
Shutting Down the Heater
- Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
- Close the valve on the propane cylinder.
- Allow the heater to cool completely before moving or storing.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Ensure the heater is completely cool and disconnected from the propane supply before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically check the air intake and exhaust vents for dust or debris and clean as necessary to ensure proper airflow.
Storage
- Store the heater in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Disconnect the propane cylinder before storing.
Troubleshooting
Heater Does Not Ignite:
- Ensure the propane cylinder is connected correctly and has fuel.
- Check that the gas valve on the cylinder is fully open.
- Verify that the control knob is pressed down firmly in the "PILOT" position during ignition.
- Ensure the igniter button is being pressed repeatedly until the pilot flame appears.
Pilot Flame Does Not Stay Lit:
- Ensure the control knob is held down for 30-60 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
- Check for proper ventilation. The Oxygen Depletion Safety Shut-Off System (ODS) may be activating if oxygen levels are too low.
Heater Shuts Off During Operation:
- This may indicate activation of the Tip-Over Protection or Overheat Protection. Check if the heater was tipped or if vents are blocked.
- The ODS system may have activated due to low oxygen levels. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Check the propane supply; the cylinder may be empty or nearly empty.
