Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
- To power on the device, slide the power switch to the "ON" position.
- To power off, slide the power switch to the "OFF" position.
Selecting Alarm Mode
The MD300 offers two alarm modes:
- Sound and Light Synchronous Alarm: When a metal object is detected, the device will emit an audible sound and illuminate an indicator light.
- Vibration Alarm: When a metal object is detected, the device will vibrate, providing a silent alert.
Use the alarm mode switch on the side of the handle to toggle between these two modes based on your operational requirements.
Detection Procedure
- Hold the metal detector by the handle, ensuring a firm grip.
- Turn on the device and select your preferred alarm mode.
- Slowly sweep the detection coil over the area or person being scanned. Maintain a consistent distance from the surface.
- When a metallic object is detected, the device will activate the selected alarm (sound/light or vibration).
- The detection sensitivity is designed to detect objects such as a one-yuan coin at a distance of approximately 5cm or more.

Low Voltage Indication
The device is equipped with a low voltage indication function. When the battery power is low, the indicator light may flash or change color, or the alarm sound may become weaker, signaling that the battery needs to be replaced soon.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the detector with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery when the low voltage indicator activates or when the device's performance diminishes.
- Storage: Store the metal detector in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
