4.2 Electrical Connections

The searchlight operates on 12 VDC. Connect the searchlight to a stable 12V power source, ensuring correct polarity. Refer to the wiring diagram in the separate wiring guide (if provided) for detailed electrical connections for the searchlight, URP-102 Point Pad remote, and URC-102 Master controller.

The system supports connection with up to three controllers for flexible operation.

5. Operating Instructions

The RCL50 LED Searchlight is controlled via the URP-102 Point Pad remote and URC-102 Master controller.

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Use the designated button on the Point Pad remote to turn the searchlight on or off.
  • Rotation: The searchlight offers 360° continuous rotation. Use the directional controls on the Point Pad to pan the light horizontally.
  • Tilt: The searchlight has a 40° tilt range. Use the directional controls on the Point Pad to adjust the light vertically.
  • Light Pattern: The RCL50 provides a spot light pattern.

5.2 XRCiZ Feature

The exclusive XRCiZ feature is designed to maintain the searchlight's functionality in marine environments. Every 30 days from activation, the system automatically rotates and moves the light assembly. This action helps keep all bearing surfaces free of corrosion and ensures all electrical contacts remain functional.

No user intervention is required for the XRCiZ feature to operate.

6. Maintenance

The ACR RCL50 LED Searchlight is designed for durability in marine conditions. Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior housing and LED lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Corrosion Prevention: The built-in XRCiZ feature actively helps prevent corrosion on bearing surfaces and electrical contacts.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the mounting hardware and electrical connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or looseness. Tighten or replace components as necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RCL50 LED Searchlight, refer to the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Searchlight not powering on:
    • Check the 12V power supply and ensure it is active.
    • Verify all electrical connections are secure and correctly wired.
    • Inspect fuses or circuit breakers in the power circuit.
  • Searchlight not responding to remote:
    • Ensure the remote control (Point Pad) is powered and functioning.
    • Check the connection between the Point Pad, Master Controller, and Searchlight.
  • Limited movement or unusual noise:
    • The XRCiZ feature helps prevent this, but if issues persist, inspect for physical obstructions.
    • Contact ACR customer support if the issue cannot be resolved.

For more complex issues or repairs, contact ACR customer support or a qualified marine electronics technician.
