Setup and Connection

The KYY Portable Monitor offers versatile connectivity for various devices. Ensure your device supports video output via USB-C (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) or HDMI.

Connecting via USB-C (Full-Function)

1. Connect one end of the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to your device's full-function USB-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to either of the monitor's USB-C ports.
3. The monitor should automatically detect the signal and power on. If your device cannot provide sufficient power, connect the monitor to an external power source using the provided USB-C to USB-A cable and power adapter.

Connecting via Mini-HDMI

1. Connect one end of the provided Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable to the monitor's Mini-HDMI port.
2. Connect the HDMI end of the cable to your device's HDMI port.
3. Connect the monitor to an external power source using the provided USB-C to USB-A cable and power adapter, as HDMI does not transmit power.

• Stand: Features two grooves that allow you to fold the cover into a stable stand, supporting the monitor at optimal viewing angles.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KYY Portable Monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: When not in use, store the monitor in its smart cover to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Handle the monitor with care. Avoid dropping it or placing heavy objects on it. Do not apply excessive pressure to the screen.
• Ventilation: Ensure the monitor's ventilation holes are not blocked during use to prevent overheating.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KYY Portable Monitor, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Signal/Black Screen:
  • Ensure all cables (USB-C, HDMI, power) are securely connected to both the monitor and your device.
  • Verify that your device's output settings are configured to detect and send a signal to an external display.
  • If using USB-C, confirm your device's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode).
  • Try connecting the monitor to a different device or using different cables to rule out cable or source issues.
• No Power:
  • Ensure the power adapter is correctly plugged into a working power outlet and the monitor's USB-C power input.
  • If powering via a single USB-C cable from your device, ensure your device can supply sufficient power (5V). Try connecting the external power adapter.
• Display Issues (Flickering, Distorted Image):
  • Check the display resolution and refresh rate settings on your connected device. Ensure they are compatible with the monitor's specifications (1920x1080 at 60Hz).
  • Try adjusting the monitor's brightness and contrast settings via the control wheel.
  • Ensure the cables are not damaged or bent.
• No Audio/Low Audio:
  • Increase the volume on both the monitor (using the control wheel) and your connected device.
  • Check your device's audio output settings to ensure audio is being sent to the external monitor.
  • If using headphones, ensure they are fully plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack.
