Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Install Batteries:
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid. Insert two (2) D-size batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Insert Trash Bag:
Remove the inner ring from the main body. Place a trash bag into the main body, ensuring the top edge of the bag is folded over the rim. Place the inner ring back into the main body, securing the trash bag in place and concealing its edges.
- Place Lid: Carefully place the lid onto the main body, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.

Operating Instructions
- Automatic Opening:
Wave your hand approximately 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) above the infrared sensor located on the lid. The lid will open automatically. The sensor detects motion and opens the lid for hands-free disposal.
- Automatic Closing:
After approximately 3 seconds of inactivity (no motion detected by the sensor), the lid will close automatically. This feature helps to contain odors and maintain hygiene.
- Manual Open/Close (if applicable):
Some models may include a manual open/close button. If present, press the OPEN button to keep the lid open for an extended period, and press the CLOSE button to close it manually.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Body: Wipe the stainless steel body with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. The fingerprint-resistant coating helps keep the surface clean.
- Cleaning the Sensor: Gently wipe the sensor window on the lid with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure it is free from dust or debris to maintain optimal performance.
- Battery Replacement: When the lid's operation becomes slow or inconsistent, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
- Liner Ring: Periodically remove and clean the inner ring to prevent odor buildup and ensure a secure fit for trash bags.
