5. Setup and Installation
The Cyrank Retractable Clothesline is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps for secure mounting:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall or sturdy surface for mounting the main unit. Ensure there is a clear path for the lines to extend up to 3.75 meters to the opposite wall or mounting point for the receiving bar.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the main clothesline unit against the wall at the desired height. Mark the positions for the mounting screws. Repeat this for the receiving bar on the opposite wall, ensuring it is at a similar height.
- Drill Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type, drill pilot holes at the marked positions. Insert wall anchors if necessary for secure mounting.
- Mount Main Unit: Secure the main clothesline unit to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.
- Mount Receiving Bar: Attach the receiving bar to the opposite wall using the provided hooks and screws. The hooks should face upwards to securely hold the clothesline bar.

6. Operating Instructions
Using your retractable clothesline is straightforward:
- Extend Lines: Gently pull the receiving bar away from the main unit. The lines will extend smoothly.
- Lock Lines: Once the lines are extended to the desired length and the receiving bar is hooked onto the opposite wall mounts, rotate the "PUSH TO LOCK" knob on the main unit clockwise until it clicks into place. This will secure the lines and prevent sagging.
- Hang Laundry: You can now hang your laundry on the taut lines. Distribute the weight evenly and do not exceed the maximum load capacity.
- Retract Lines: When you are finished drying, rotate the "PUSH TO LOCK" knob counter-clockwise to unlock the lines. Gently guide the receiving bar back towards the main unit. The lines will automatically retract into the housing.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and lines with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws and wall anchors to ensure they remain tight and secure. Inspect the lines for any fraying, cuts, or damage.
- Retraction: Always retract the clothesline when not in use to protect the lines from environmental exposure and prevent accidental damage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lines do not retract fully. | Lines are tangled or obstructed. Locking mechanism is still engaged. | Ensure the "PUSH TO LOCK" knob is in the unlocked position. Gently pull the lines out slightly and guide them back in to untangle. |
| Lines sag when laundry is hung. | Lines not properly locked. Overloaded clothesline. | Ensure the "PUSH TO LOCK" knob is fully engaged (clockwise). Reduce the amount of laundry or distribute weight more evenly. Check maximum load capacity. |
| Main unit feels loose on the wall. | Mounting screws are loose. Wall anchors are not secure. | Tighten mounting screws. If the problem persists, consider re-installing with more secure wall anchors or in a different, sturdier location. |
