4. Setup
4.1 Mounting
The ROLLING-EYE can be placed on a flat surface or securely mounted using the provided omega bracket. Ensure the mounting surface or truss can support the weight of the fixture.
- Attach the omega bracket to the bottom of the fixture using the screws provided.
- Secure the omega bracket to a truss or mounting bar using appropriate clamps (not included).
- Always use a safety cable when mounting the fixture overhead.
4.2 Power Connection
Connect the power cable to the power input port on the rear of the unit and then to a suitable power outlet (100-240V ~ 50/60Hz).
4.3 DMX Connection (Optional)
For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the DMX IN port of the ROLLING-EYE. If connecting multiple units, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX OUT of the first unit to the DMX IN of the next.
5. Operating Instructions
The ROLLING-EYE can be operated in several modes: Auto, DMX, Master-Slave, and Sound Control. Use the control panel buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) to navigate and select modes.
5.1 Control Panel Navigation
- MENU: Press to cycle through main menu options.
- UP/DOWN: Use to scroll through sub-menus or adjust parameter values.
- ENTER: Confirm selection or save changes.
5.2 Operating Modes
- Auto Mode: The fixture runs through pre-programmed light shows automatically. Select an auto program from the menu.
- Sound Control Mode: The fixture reacts to sound via its built-in microphone. Select this mode from the menu.
- Master-Slave Mode: Connect multiple units. Set one unit as "Master" and others as "Slave". Slave units will mimic the Master's behavior.
- DMX Mode: For professional control using a DMX controller.
- Set the DMX address for each fixture using the control panel. Ensure each fixture has a unique address.
- The ROLLING-EYE uses 12 DMX channels. Refer to the DMX channel chart (usually found in a separate DMX manual or advanced section) for specific channel functions (Pan, Tilt, Dimmer, Strobe, Color, etc.).
