Setup
Power Connection
Connect the provided 12V DC power adapter to the "12V DC" input jack located on the rear panel of the Matrix Mixer. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting the power supply. Once connected, you can switch the device "ON".
Audio and Control Signal Connections
The Matrix Mixer features 16 inputs and 16 outputs, all utilizing 3.5mm jacks. These are DC-coupled, allowing for the routing of both audio and control voltage (CV) signals. Connect your Eurorack module outputs to the Matrix Mixer's inputs and the Matrix Mixer's outputs to your Eurorack module inputs as desired for signal processing and routing.
MIDI Connections
The device includes MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports. Refer to the official Erica Synths website or future firmware updates for detailed information on MIDI functionality and integration.

Operating Instructions
Understanding the Matrix
The core of the Matrix Mixer is its 16x16 routing matrix, represented by the central LED display. Each intersection point on this grid represents a potential connection between an input (vertical axis) and an output (horizontal axis). When an LED is illuminated, a connection is active.
Creating and Modifying Patches
Use the encoder knobs to navigate the matrix and select connection points. Specific instructions for activating/deactivating connections and adjusting signal levels (if applicable) will be detailed in the full manufacturer's guide. The device offers 256 connection points, allowing for intricate signal flow configurations.
Saving and Recalling Patches
The Matrix Mixer features 254 memory slots for storing your custom patches. Use the "SAVE" knob to store your current routing configuration into an available memory slot. The "RECALL" knob allows you to load previously saved patches. The "SHIFT" button likely provides access to secondary functions of the knobs, such as navigating through memory banks or adjusting parameters. The "PATTERN" knob may be used for sequencing or recalling specific routing patterns.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Erica Synths Matrix Mixer, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture.
- Storage: Store the unit in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
- Handling: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Matrix Mixer, consider the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet. Check the power switch is in the "ON" position.
- No Signal: Verify all audio and CV cables are correctly connected to the inputs and outputs of the Matrix Mixer and your Eurorack modules. Check the patch matrix display to ensure connections are active.
- Unexpected Behavior: Try performing a factory reset if available (refer to the official Erica Synths documentation for specific instructions). Ensure all firmware is up to date.
