Setup
Power Connection
Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charger's input port and then to a compatible USB power adapter (e.g., QC3.0 18W adapter for optimal performance). The LCD screen will illuminate upon successful connection.
Initial Use
Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed. The charger performs a self-test upon power-up. It is ready for use once the display stabilizes.
Operating Instructions
Inserting Batteries
Carefully insert one or more compatible rechargeable batteries into the charging bays, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the markings on the charger. The retractable shrapnel will secure the battery in place. The charger will automatically detect the battery type and begin charging.
Understanding the LCD Display

The high-definition VA LCD screen provides real-time information on battery voltage, current, and charge status for each bay.
The LCD screen displays critical information for each bay, including:
- Voltage (V): Current voltage of the battery.
- Current (mA): Current charging or discharging rate.
- Capacity (mAh): Accumulated capacity during charging or discharged capacity during testing.
- Battery Type: Automatically detected battery chemistry (Li-ion, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd).
- Charging Status: Visual battery icon indicating charge level or 'FULL' when complete.
Selecting Charging Current

The charger offers five optional charging currents (3A / 2A / 1A / 0.5A / 0.25A) for manual adjustment via the 'Mode' and 'Curr.' buttons, allowing users to select based on battery needs.
To adjust the charging current for a specific bay:
- Insert the battery into the desired bay.
- Press the 'Curr.' button to cycle through available current options (3A, 2A, 1A, 0.5A, 0.25A).
- The selected current will be applied to the battery in that bay.
Capacity Test Mode
The VC8 charger can test the real capacity of your batteries. To enter capacity test mode:
- Insert the battery.
- Press and hold the 'Mode' button until 'Grad' appears on the display.
- The charger will fully charge the battery, then discharge it to measure its capacity, and finally recharge it. The measured capacity will be displayed.
Storage Mode
For long-term battery storage, it is recommended to store Li-ion batteries at approximately 3.7V. The VC8's storage mode helps achieve this optimal voltage.
- Insert the battery.
- Press and hold the 'Mode' button until 'Store' appears on the display.
- The charger will charge or discharge the battery to its rated storage voltage.
