4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the weather station and outdoor sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing. Avoid exposing the units to excessive moisture.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted; USB cable not connected or faulty. | Replace batteries, check polarity. Ensure USB cable is securely connected to a working power source. |
| Outdoor sensor not connecting or losing connection sporadically | Sensor out of range; interference; low batteries in sensor; temporary communication error. | Move sensor closer to the main unit. Replace sensor batteries. Remove and reinsert batteries in both units to force a reconnection. Avoid placing units near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference. |
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or heat sources; sensor placed too close to a window or vent. | Relocate the outdoor sensor to a shaded, dry area. Ensure the main unit is not near heat sources or direct sunlight. |
| Weather forecast seems incorrect | The forecast is based on atmospheric pressure changes and is an estimation, not a guarantee. | Allow the unit time to gather more data. Ensure the unit is placed in a stable environment. |
