2. Connecting Components
Ensure all cables are securely connected before powering on the machine.
- Connect the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis motor cables to their respective ports on the motherboard.
- Connect the limit switches for each axis.
- Connect the spindle motor wires.
- Connect the main power adapter.
3. Optional: Laser Module Installation
If you plan to use the laser engraving function, install the 5W laser module as follows:
- Insert the clip into the front of the Z-axis.
- Slide the laser module into the clip.
- Connect the laser power cable and PWM wire to the corresponding ports on the laser module's main board. Ensure correct polarity (Laser to Laser, PWM to PWM).

Operating Instructions
1. Software Installation and Setup
The Comgrow ROBO CNC Router supports various software for design, slicing, and control. Refer to the compatibility table below:

Figure 7: Software Compatibility - Lists supported systems (Windows, Mac), machine modes (CNC router, Laser engraving), slicing software (ArtCAM, Fusion360, Carveco Maker, Vectric, Easel, LaserGRBL, Lightburn), and control software (Candle).
For CNC router mode, generate G-code using slicing software, then import it into the control software (e.g., Candle) to start engraving.

Video 3: A Brief Introduction to Candle Software (Duration: 1:51). This video provides an overview of the Candle software interface and basic functionalities.
2. Using the Z-Probe
The Z-Probe allows for automatic tool height setting, ensuring precise engraving depth.
- Connect the Z-probe to the Z-probe interface on the machine.
- Place the Z-probe block on the workpiece.
- Attach the alligator clip to the spindle bit.
- In the control software (e.g., Candle), set the parameter of the Z-probe (e.g., G21G91G38.2Z-50F80;G92Z19.24;G0Z10, where 19.24 is the measured height of your Z-probe).
- Click the Z-Probe instruction to start tool setting.
Video 4: How to use the CNC Touch Plate on CNC Router? (Duration: 0:49). This video demonstrates the process of using the Z-probe for automatic tool height calibration.
3. Offline Control Module
The offline control module allows you to operate the CNC router without a computer connection.
- Insert the SD card with your G-code file into the mainboard card slot of the offline control handle.
- Plug the offline controller into the offline joystick interface on the motherboard.
- Select the desired file from the controller to start running.
