  1. Battery Insertion: Open the battery compartment of each Radiator Thermostat and insert the provided batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. Preparation: Remove your existing conventional radiator thermostat head. You may need a wrench for this.
  3. Mounting: Attach the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat to the radiator valve. Use the provided mounting material (adapters) if necessary to ensure a secure fit. Hand-tighten the thermostat.
  4. Pairing: Follow the instructions in the Homematic IP app to pair each thermostat with your Access Point. This typically involves pressing a button on the thermostat and confirming in the app.

4.3. App Configuration

5.2. Manual Control on Thermostat

You can also adjust the temperature directly on the Radiator Thermostat:

  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the + and - buttons to manually increase or decrease the desired temperature. The new setting will be displayed on the LCD.
  • Boost Function: Press the Menu/Boost button to activate the Boost function for a short period of maximum heating.
  • Menu Access: Press and hold the Menu/Boost button to access additional settings on the thermostat's display.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Homematic IP Heating Set.

  • Battery Replacement: The Radiator Thermostats are battery-powered. When the battery level is low, an indicator will appear on the display and in the app. Replace all batteries in a thermostat simultaneously with new ones of the same type (Alkaline).
  • Cleaning: Clean the devices with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or wet cloths, as these can damage the housing or electronics.
  • Firmware Updates: Ensure your devices and the Homematic IP app are always updated to the latest firmware version for optimal functionality and security. Updates are typically managed via the app.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Homematic IP Heating Set, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
