Important Safety Information

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
  2. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the two (2) AAA batteries (included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  3. Placement: Place the scale on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure there are no obstructions beneath the scale that could interfere with its sensors.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press the TARE/U button (power symbol) to turn the scale on. The display will show "0.0" when ready. To turn off, press and hold the TARE/U button for a few seconds, or the scale will automatically shut off after approximately 1 minute of inactivity.
  2. Selecting Units: Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: pounds and ounces (lb:oz), grams (g), and fluid ounces (fl.oz).
  3. Weighing Items:
    • Place the item directly onto the glass platform. The weight will be displayed.
    • Ensure the item is centered on the platform for the most accurate reading.
  4. Tare Function (Add and Weigh): The tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively without removing previous ones, or to subtract the weight of a container.
    • Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
    • Press the TARE/U button. The display will reset to "0.0".
    • Add the first ingredient to the container. Its weight will be displayed.
    • To add another ingredient, press the TARE/U button again to reset the display to "0.0", then add the next ingredient. Repeat as needed.

Inaccurate readings. Scale not on a flat surface, item not centered, or external interference. Ensure scale is on a stable, level surface. Center the item. Avoid vibrations or drafts. Recalibrate by turning off and on.
