It features an intelligent alarm system with 3D position detection, capable of distinguishing between minor impacts and sustained theft attempts. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Alarmbox 2.0.

3. Safety Information
- Ensure the Alarmbox is securely mounted to prevent accidental detachment.

- The alarm emits a loud sound (100 dB). Avoid prolonged exposure to the alarm sound at close range.

5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the Alarmbox unit.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert the supplied CR2 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Mounting the Alarmbox
The Alarmbox 2.0 can be attached to various round geometries using the provided metal straps.
- Position the Alarmbox on the desired object (e.g., bicycle frame, e-scooter stem).
- Thread the metal straps through the designated slots on the Alarmbox and around the object.
- Tighten the straps firmly to secure the Alarmbox in place. The straps can be shortened if necessary.

5.3 Connecting Adapter Chains/Cables (Optional)
For additional security, the Alarmbox housing can accommodate ABUS adapter chains or cables (e.g., ACH 6KS, ACL 12/100, ACH IVY 6KS). To connect an adapter:
- Remove the alarm button from the Alarmbox unit.
- Insert the end of the compatible ABUS adapter chain or cable into the opening where the button was removed.
- Ensure the chain/cable is securely seated. The alarm will arm when the cable is inserted and the button is removed.
6. Operating the Alarmbox
6.1 Activating the Alarm
To activate the alarm function:
- Press the power button on the Alarmbox.
- A short beep will confirm activation. The LED indicator may flash.
- The alarm system is now armed and will detect movement or impacts.
6.2 Deactivating the Alarm
To deactivate the alarm function:
- Insert the key into the key cylinder.
- Turn the key to disarm the system. The power button will pop out.
- The alarm is now deactivated.
6.3 Intelligent Alarm Function
The Alarmbox 2.0 features an intelligent alarm system:
- Short Warning: For minor impacts or brief movements, a short 5-second warning tone will sound. This helps to deter potential thieves without triggering a full alarm for accidental bumps.
- Full Alarm: If the object continues to move or experiences a strong impact after the warning, a loud 100 dB alarm will be triggered for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the alarm stops, and the system rearms itself.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator signals low power, replace the CR2 battery by following the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
7.2 Cleaning
Clean the Alarmbox with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the housing or internal components. Ensure the device is dry before re-activating.
8. Troubleshooting
- Alarm not activating: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Ensure the power button is fully pressed.
- False alarms: Ensure the Alarmbox is securely mounted and not subject to excessive vibrations from external sources (e.g., strong winds, passing heavy vehicles). The intelligent alarm function is designed to minimize false alarms.
- Alarm too quiet: Check if the speaker grille is obstructed. Ensure the battery has sufficient power.
