4. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Clean: Wash the bean hopper lid, grinding chamber lid, grinding chamber, and dosing rings in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit and burrs should not be immersed in water; wipe them with a damp cloth.
3. Assemble: Place the grinding chamber into its position on the main unit. Ensure the removable upper conical burr is securely in place. Attach the bean hopper and its lid.
4. Position: Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
5. Connect: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Grind Settings

The grinder offers 31 precise grind settings, allowing you to customize the fineness for various brewing methods. Rotate the grinding settings dial to select your desired grind level.

• Fine (1-5): Ideal for Espresso machines.
• Medium (5-20): Suitable for Siphon, Drip Coffee, and Pour Over methods.
• Coarse (20-31): Recommended for French Press.

5.2 Using the Digital Timer and Display

The grinder features an intelligent LCD display and a precise digital timer, allowing you to set grinding time in 0.1-second increments. It also has a memory function to recall your last setting.

• Time "-" button: Press to decrease grinding time. Long press for rapid reduction.
• Time "+" button: Press to increase grinding time. Long press for rapid increase.
• Start/Stop button: Initiates or halts the grinding process.
• For times under 10 seconds, each press adjusts by 0.1 seconds.
• For times over 10 seconds, each press adjusts by 1 second.
• The maximum grinding time is 40 seconds.

5.3 Grinding Process

1. Add Beans: Pour whole coffee beans into the bean hopper. Do not overfill.
2. Select Grind: Rotate the grinding settings dial to your desired fineness (refer to section 5.1).
3. Set Time: Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired grinding duration on the LCD display.
4. Start Grinding: Press the Start/Stop button to begin grinding. The grinder will automatically stop once the set time is reached.
5. For Espresso: The grinder includes two portafilter dosing rings (51mm and 58mm) to allow direct grinding into your espresso machine's portafilter, minimizing mess.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your grinder. Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.

6.1 Cleaning the Burr Grinder

The high-quality conical burr grinder is designed for uniform grinding and flavor preservation. Keep it clean to prevent clogging and maintain performance.

1. Remove Upper Burr: Twist the upper conical burr counter-clockwise and lift it out.
2. Brush Clean: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any coffee grounds from the upper and lower burrs.
3. Wipe Base: Wipe the interior of the grinding chamber and the exterior of the main unit with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not rinse the main unit or burrs with water.
4. Reassemble: Insert the upper conical burr back into place and twist clockwise until it locks.

6.2 Cleaning the Collecting Box

The anti-static collecting box is designed to prevent coffee powder from clinging to its sides, making it easy to pour.

• Remove the grinding chamber and its lid.
• Empty any ground coffee.
• Wash the grinding chamber and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
• To reduce powder clogging, at the end of each grinding cycle, gently tap the coffee grounds residual cleaner on the bean hopper lid to dislodge any remaining grounds from the burrs.
