Troubleshooting
If your FoodSaver VS2150 is not operating as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
- Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the outlet has power.
- Appliance is not vacuuming: Verify that the lid is fully closed and the easy-lock latch is engaged. Ensure the open end of the bag is correctly placed within the vacuum channel and is free of wrinkles. Check if the drip tray is properly inserted.
- Bag is not sealing: Make sure the sealing strip is clean and dry. Ensure the bag material is flat across the sealing strip. Allow the appliance to cool down for a few moments if it has been used continuously.
- Air is leaking from the sealed bag: Inspect the bag for punctures or tears. Ensure the seal is complete and even. Double-check that the food item is not too close to the seal, which can prevent a proper seal.
