1. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Oven: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any internal packing and accessories. Ensure all parts are accounted for.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash the baking pan, oven rack, fry basket, and crumb tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Placement: Place the oven on a stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate ventilation (at least 4 inches of space on all sides and above). Do not place it directly against a wall or under cabinets.
  4. First Use Burn-Off: It is recommended to run the oven empty for about 15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

The AUMATE Air Fryer Toaster Oven offers multiple cooking functions controlled by its intuitive knobs.

4.1. Function Selection

Use the Function knob to select your desired cooking mode:

  • Warm: Keeps food warm without further cooking.
  • Broil: For grilling and browning the top of food.
  • Convection Broil: Combines broiling with convection for faster, more even browning.
  • Toast: Specifically for toasting bread, bagels, etc.
  • Bake: For general baking, like cakes, cookies, and casseroles.
  • Convection Bake: Uses a fan to circulate hot air for faster and more even baking.
  • Air Fry: Utilizes powerful hot air circulation for crispy, fried results with little to no oil.

4.2. Temperature and Timer Settings

Adjust the Temperature knob to set the desired heat from Warm up to 450°F. The Oven Timer knob allows you to set cooking times up to 60 minutes. For toasting, use the dedicated On/Toast Timer knob to select your preferred toast shade (light, medium, dark).

4.3. General Operation Steps

  1. Place food on the appropriate accessory (baking pan, oven rack, or fry basket).
  2. Insert the accessory into the desired rack position inside the oven. Ensure the crumb tray is always in place at the bottom.
  3. Close the oven door.
  4. Turn the Function knob to select the cooking mode.
  5. Turn the Temperature knob to set the desired temperature.
  6. Turn the Oven Timer knob to set the cooking time. The oven will begin heating. For toast, use the On/Toast Timer knob.
  7. The oven light can be turned on/off using the dedicated button next to the timer knob to monitor cooking progress.
  8. When cooking is complete, the timer will ding, and the oven will turn off. Carefully remove food using oven mitts.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Crumb Tray: The crumb tray should be removed and cleaned regularly to prevent grease buildup and potential fire hazards. Simply slide it out, discard crumbs, and wash with warm, soapy water.

  3. Accessories: The baking pan, oven rack, and fry basket are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. For stubborn residue, soak them in warm, soapy water before scrubbing.
  4. Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For baked-on grease, a non-abrasive cleaner designed for ovens can be used. Avoid harsh abrasives or metal scouring pads.
  5. Exterior: Clean the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool, as they may damage the finish.
  6. Glass Door: Clean the glass door with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth.
