2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to ensure proper use and prevent injury or damage:

• Keep Override Keys Secure: Always store the override keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
2. Insert 4 x AA 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover.

4.2. Initial Opening (First Use)

For the first opening, use the override key:

1. Insert one of the provided override keys into the keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad.
2. Turn the key clockwise.
3. Rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.

4.3. Mounting the Safe

The safe can be mounted to a wall, floor, or inside a cabinet. Choose a discreet and secure location.

2. Mark the positions of the pre-drilled holes on the mounting surface.
3. Drill pilot holes into the mounting surface using an appropriate drill bit.
4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the two 5cm anchoring bolts provided. Ensure the bolts are tightened firmly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Setting Your Personal PIN Code

You can set a security code of 3 to 8 digits using any number from 0 to 9.

1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door, near the hinges. You will hear a beep, and the yellow indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
2. Enter your desired 3 to 8 digit PIN code.
3. Press the 'E' or '#' button to confirm. You will hear a beep, and the yellow light will turn off, indicating the new code is set.
4. Test the new code: With the door still open, enter your new PIN code, then press 'E' or '#', and turn the knob to ensure it works before closing the door.

5.2. Opening the Safe with Your PIN Code

1. Enter your 3 to 8 digit PIN code on the keypad.
2. Press the 'E' or '#' button. The green indicator light will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.3. Opening the Safe with the Override Key (Emergency)

If you forget your PIN code or the batteries are depleted, you can use the override key:

1. Remove the small cover on the keypad to reveal the keyhole.
2. Insert the override key and turn it clockwise.
3. Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.4. Closing and Locking the Safe

1. Close the safe door.
2. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts. The safe is now locked.

5.5. Lockout Period

If 3 incorrect PIN codes are entered consecutively, the safe will enter a lockout period, during which the keypad will be unresponsive for a short time (typically 20-30 seconds). Wait for the lockout period to end before attempting to enter the code again.

6. Maintenance
