Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your electric fireplace.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Air Vents: Keep the air inlet and outlet vents clear of dust and debris to ensure proper heat circulation and prevent overheating.
- Storage: If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it, allow it to cool, and store it in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your electric fireplace, please refer to the common troubleshooting tips below:
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check your household circuit breaker.
- No Heat Output: Verify that the heater function is activated. The unit has an auto-heat kill safety feature to prevent overheating; allow it to cool down if it has recently shut off unexpectedly.
- Flame Effect Not Working: Check if the flame effect is turned on via the remote or touch panel.
- Remote Control Not Responding: Replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace's sensor.
