BOMAZ Replacement Remote Control for Fujitsu Air Conditioners

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the BOMAZ replacement remote control, designed for various Fujitsu Air Conditioner models. This remote offers direct functionality without the need for complex programming, ensuring ease of use for controlling your air conditioning unit.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use

This replacement remote control is designed for immediate use with compatible Fujitsu Air Conditioner models. No programming or setup is required after battery installation. Point the remote towards your air conditioner unit and begin operation.

Operating Instructions

• START/STOP Button: Located at the bottom, this orange button powers the air conditioner ON or OFF.
• Temperature Adjustment Buttons (+/-): These buttons, located below the display, increase or decrease the set temperature.
• MODE Button: Cycles through operating modes such as Cool, Dry, Fan, and Auto.
• FAN CONTROL Button: Adjusts the fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
• SWING Button: Controls the louver swing function for air direction.
• TIMER Button: Used to set ON/OFF timers for the unit.
• SLEEP Button: Activates or deactivates the sleep mode, which adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep.
• SET Buttons: Used in conjunction with other buttons for specific settings like temperature, time, or fan control.

Important Note: The remote control display shows temperature readings in Celsius ONLY. There is no option to switch to Fahrenheit.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's display becomes dim or the remote fails to operate the air conditioner. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

Cleaning the Remote Control

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the air conditioner's receiver.
  • Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the air conditioner unit.
• Display is dim or blank:
  • This usually indicates low battery power. Replace the batteries.
• Air conditioner not responding to specific functions:
  • Verify that the air conditioner unit itself is powered on and functioning correctly.
  • Some advanced functions might require specific air conditioner models to be compatible.
