Operating Instructions
Selecting Operating Mode
The hammer drill features a mode selector ring to switch between drilling, driving, and hammer drilling functions:
- Drill Mode: For drilling into wood, metal, and plastic.
- Drive Mode: For driving screws, with clutch settings to prevent over-driving.
- Hammer Mode: For drilling into concrete, brick, and block, providing impact action in addition to rotation.
Speed Control
The drill is equipped with a 2-speed gearbox and a variable speed trigger:
- Gear Selector: Use the switch on top of the drill to select between low speed (0-500 RPM) for high torque applications and high speed (0-2,100 RPM) for faster drilling.
- Variable Speed Trigger: The trigger allows for precise speed control; press lightly for slower speeds and harder for faster speeds.
Clutch Settings
The 24-position clutch ring allows you to adjust the torque output for driving screws, preventing damage to the screw head or workpiece. Rotate the ring to the desired setting. Higher numbers indicate higher torque. In hammer mode, the clutch is bypassed for maximum power.
LED Worklight
An integrated LED worklight illuminates the workspace when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dimly lit areas.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.
- Cleaning: Keep the tool's air vents clear and free of debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the housing. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the chuck, auxiliary handle, and battery contacts for wear or damage. Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately.
