Safety Information

• Always ensure the helmet fits snugly and the straps are securely fastened before riding.
• The helmet is designed to protect against impact. Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if visible damage is not apparent.
• Do not modify the helmet in any way, as this may compromise its protective capabilities.
• While the helmet is waterproof to IPX5 levels, avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain for safety and to preserve electronic components.
• Always be aware of your surroundings when using audio features to ensure you can hear traffic and other important sounds.

The KRACESS KRS-S1 is an advanced smart cycling helmet integrating safety, communication, and recording features. It includes a 1080P front camera, Bluetooth connectivity for calls and music, and intelligent rear lighting with turn signals.

Setup

1. Adjusting Helmet Fit

For optimal safety and comfort, ensure your helmet fits correctly. Use the adjustable dial at the back of the helmet to tighten or loosen the internal harness until it feels snug without being too tight.

Adjust the chin straps so they form a 'V' shape under your ears and the buckle is centered under your chin. The strap should be tight enough that you can only fit one or two fingers between the strap and your chin.

2. Attaching Magnetic Goggles

The helmet comes with magnetic goggles for eye protection. Simply align the goggles with the magnetic points on the front of the helmet until they snap securely into place. They can be easily removed for cleaning or when not needed.

3. Installing Remote Control

The remote control for the rear lights can be attached to your vehicle's handlebar using the provided strap. This allows for easy activation of turn signals and other light modes while riding.

4. Installing Memory Card

Locate the memory card slot inside the helmet. Insert a MicroSD card (up to 64GB, not included) into the slot. This card will store all recorded videos and photos from the integrated camera.

5. Charging the Helmet

The helmet is charged via a USB cable. Locate the charging port, usually covered by a small flap, at the back of the helmet. Connect the provided USB cable to the helmet and a power source (e.g., car charger, laptop, wall adapter). A full charge provides 3-6 hours of continuous recording.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

To power on the helmet, long-press the light button on the side. You will hear an audible confirmation. To power off, long-press the same button until you hear the power-off prompt.

2. Bluetooth Connectivity

Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone. On the helmet, long-press the phone button to enter pairing mode. Select "Helmet_BT" from your device's Bluetooth list to connect. An audible prompt will confirm successful connection.

3. Music Playback

Once connected via Bluetooth, you can play music from your smartphone. The helmet's integrated speakers will provide audio. Volume control is managed through your connected phone.

4. Answering/Ending Calls

When a call comes in, short-press the phone button on the helmet to answer. To end a call, short-press the phone button again. For hands-free communication, the helmet features a built-in windproof microphone.

5. Last Number Redial

To redial the last called number, double-press the phone button on the helmet.

6. Video Recording

To start video recording, short-press the video camera button on the helmet. An audible prompt will confirm recording has started. Short-press again to pause recording. The helmet's 1080P front camera captures high-quality footage.

7. Taking Photos

To take a still photo, short-press the camera button on the helmet.

8. Rear Light Functions

The helmet features an integrated rear light for enhanced visibility and safety. It offers multiple modes:

• Hazard Light: Activated via the remote control, this mode provides continuous flashing for increased awareness.
• Turn Signals: Use the left and right buttons on the remote control to activate corresponding turn signals, indicating your intended direction to other road users.
• Brake Light: The helmet can automatically sense acceleration/deceleration and illuminate a bright warning light to alert vehicles behind you.
• Double Flashing Light: This mode can be activated for emergency situations or when stopped.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning Goggles

The magnetic goggles can be easily detached for cleaning. Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the lenses. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.

2. Removable Earmuffs/Liner

The helmet features removable windproof ear protection (e.g., earmuffs) and a removable liner for comfort and hygiene. These can be detached for cleaning or if you prefer to ride without them.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the helmet is fully charged. Check the charging cable and port for any damage.
• Bluetooth Connectivity Issues: Make sure the helmet is in pairing mode and your phone's Bluetooth is on. Try restarting both devices. Ensure no other devices are actively connected to the helmet.
• Camera/Recording Problems: Verify that a compatible MicroSD card is correctly inserted and has sufficient free space. The helmet automatically deletes old files when memory is full.
• Lights Not Working: Check if the helmet is powered on. Ensure the remote control has working batteries and is properly paired with the helmet.
• Poor Audio Quality: Ensure the earmuffs are correctly positioned. Check your phone's volume settings.
