1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your NEU MASTER New Battery System, which includes a 2.0AH Lithium-ion Battery Pack and a 2.4A Fast Charger. This system is designed for use with NEU MASTER 20V Max. Lithium-ion tools. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use and retain it for future reference.

Important Compatibility Note: This New Battery System (Model NBT0022-1820A) is NOT compatible with the older NEU MASTER battery systems (NBT0021 & NCH0010; NBT0031 & NCH0011). Please verify your tool and battery model numbers before purchase and use to ensure compatibility.
2. Important Safety Information
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
2.1 Battery Pack Safety
- Do not disassemble, open, or shred battery packs.
- Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Store battery packs away from metal objects that could make a direct connection between the positive and negative terminals.
- Do not expose battery packs to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
- Do not subject battery packs to mechanical shock.
- In the event of battery leakage, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
- Keep battery packs clean and dry.
- Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.
- The battery pack is equipped with overload protection, overheat protection, and over-discharge protection to ensure safe usage.
- Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts; Nominal voltage is 18 volts.
2.2 Charger Safety
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Before use, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery pack, and product using the battery pack.
- Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions.
- Use only NEU MASTER battery packs with this charger.
- Unplug the charger from the power outlet when not in use.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Battery Charge
- Connect the 2.4A Fast Charger to a standard electrical outlet.
- Align the battery pack with the charger and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
- Observe the LED indicators on the charger to confirm charging has begun. Refer to Section 5.1 for LED indicator status.
- Allow the battery to charge fully before first use.

4.2 Installing the Battery Pack into a Tool
- Ensure the power tool is turned off and disconnected from any power source if applicable.
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on your NEU MASTER 20V tool.
- Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks firmly into place. The tightened lock button ensures a secure connection.
4.3 Removing the Battery Pack from a Tool
- Ensure the power tool is turned off.
- Press and hold the battery release button (often located on the side or front of the battery pack).
- Slide the battery pack out of the tool.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Charger LED Indicator Display
The 2.4A Fast Charger features integrated LED indicators to display the current charging status:

5.2 Battery Pack LED Indicator
The battery pack features an integrated LED display to indicate the remaining charge level. Press the button on the battery pack to activate the indicators.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Keep the battery pack and charger clean and free of debris.
- Use a dry cloth to wipe down the surfaces. Do not use liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Ensure the battery terminals and charger contacts are clean and free of obstruction.
6.2 Storage
- Store the battery pack and charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery pack to approximately 50% capacity.
- Do not store battery packs in a discharged state for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Battery Not Charging
- Check Power Connection: Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check Battery Connection: Make sure the battery pack is fully seated in the charger.
- Observe Charger LED: Refer to Table 5.1 (Charger Status Indicators) for error codes such as "Temperature Protection" or "Charging Error."
- Temperature Issues: If the charger indicates "Temperature Protection," the battery or charger may be too hot or too cold. Allow them to reach room temperature (discharge temperature range 0-40°C) before attempting to charge again.
- Compatibility: Confirm that your battery pack and charger are part of the New Battery System (NBT0022-1820A) and not the older incompatible versions.
7.2 Battery Not Powering Tool
- Check Charge Level: Ensure the battery pack is sufficiently charged using its LED indicator.
- Secure Connection: Verify the battery pack is fully inserted and locked into the tool.
- Tool Compatibility: Confirm the battery is compatible with your specific NEU MASTER 20V tool.
