Assembly Steps

  1. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring it is centered and the bolts are tightened securely.
  2. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel into the fork dropouts, ensuring the disc brake rotor aligns correctly with the caliper. Secure with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.

Operating Instructions

A. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the LCD display for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.

B. Pedal Assist System (PAS)

The PAS provides electric assistance as you pedal. The level of assistance can be adjusted using the '+' and '-' buttons on the display unit. Higher levels provide more power, while lower levels conserve battery life.

C. Throttle Operation

The thumb throttle allows you to engage the motor without pedaling. Gently press the thumb throttle to accelerate. Release the throttle to disengage the motor. Use the throttle responsibly and be mindful of your speed.

D. Gear Shifting

Your SAMEBIKE features a 7-speed gear system. Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears according to terrain and desired pedaling effort. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.

E. Braking

Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for effective and controlled stopping. The left lever typically controls the rear brake, and the right lever controls the front brake. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, to prevent skidding.

F. Battery Charging

  • Ensure the bike is turned off before charging.
  • Connect the charger to the charging port on the battery (or directly to the battery if removed).
  • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  • The charger indicator light will typically turn red during charging and green when fully charged.
  • Charging time is approximately 4-6 hours for a full charge.
  • Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your e-bike:

  • Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Refer to the tire sidewall for recommended PSI. Inspect for wear and punctures.
  • Brakes: Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and replace if necessary. Ensure brake levers feel firm and responsive. Adjust brake cables if there is too much slack.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Apply bicycle-specific chain lubricant regularly, especially after riding in wet conditions.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% every 2-3 months. Avoid fully discharging the battery.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick-release levers to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Cleaning: Clean your e-bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
  • Professional Service: For complex repairs or adjustments, it is recommended to consult a qualified bicycle mechanic.
