Important Safeguards

2. Attach Blade to Jar: Invert the glass jar and place the blade assembly with the gasket into the opening at the bottom of the jar. Twist the blade assembly clockwise until it is securely tightened.
3. Place Jar on Base: Place the assembled glass jar onto the motor base. Ensure it is seated firmly and correctly aligned.
4. Secure the Lid: Place the lid onto the glass jar and insert the filler cap into the lid opening.
5. Connect Power: Plug the 220-volt power cord into a suitable 220-volt electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Oster 4134 Blender features a simple 3-speed toggle switch for easy operation.

1. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the glass jar. Do not fill past the maximum fill line. For best results, add liquids first, then soft ingredients, and finally harder ingredients or ice.
2. Secure Lid: Ensure the lid and filler cap are securely in place before operating.
3. Select Speed: Use the toggle switch on the motor base to select your desired speed:
   • LOW: For lighter mixing, stirring, or pureeing.
   • MEDIUM: For general blending, mixing, and chopping.
   • HIGH: For heavy blending, crushing ice, or making smoothies.
4. Blend: Toggle the switch to the desired speed. Blend until the desired consistency is achieved.
5. Add Ingredients During Blending: If needed, remove the filler cap and add ingredients while the blender is running on a low speed. Replace the filler cap immediately.
6. Stop Blending: Toggle the switch to the 'OFF' position.
7. Remove Jar: Carefully lift the glass jar from the motor base.
8. Pour: Remove the lid and pour your blended mixture.

Blending Tips:

• Do not overfill the jar.
• For thick mixtures, use the pulse function (if available, or short bursts on high speed) to prevent motor strain.
• Cut large fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces before blending.
• Avoid blending hot liquids in large quantities, as steam can build up pressure. If blending hot liquids, fill the jar only halfway and hold the lid firmly with a cloth.
