5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. Tools required (not included): adjustable wrench, Phillips screwdriver, plumber's putty or silicone sealant.
- Prepare the Sink: Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Remove your old faucet if applicable. Clean the sink surface around the faucet holes.
- Install Deck Plate (Optional): If your sink has three holes, place the deck plate (if desired) over the holes. Apply plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the base of the deck plate to create a watertight seal.
- Mount the Faucet Body: Insert the faucet body through the center hole of the sink (and deck plate, if used). Ensure the faucet is oriented correctly.
- Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, slide the rubber gasket, metal washer, and mounting nut onto the threaded shank of the faucet. Hand-tighten the mounting nut, then use an adjustable wrench to firmly secure the faucet, ensuring it is straight and stable. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet to your corresponding hot and cold water supply valves. The hoses are typically marked (red for hot, blue for cold). Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a final snug turn. Do not overtighten. If your supply lines are 1/2 inch, use the provided adapters.
- Install Sprayer Hose Weight: Attach the hose weight to the pull-down sprayer hose. The weight should be positioned approximately 6-8 inches from the bottom of the faucet's main body to ensure the sprayer retracts smoothly.
- Test for Leaks: Once all connections are made, slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections slightly until they stop.
- Flush the Faucet: Remove the sprayer head and turn on the water to flush out any debris from the lines for about 1 minute. Reattach the sprayer head.

6.2 Sprayer Functionality
- Pull-Down Sprayer: Gently pull the sprayer head down from the spout to extend the hose for increased reach.
- Dual Spray Modes: The sprayer head features two modes:
- Stream Mode: Ideal for filling pots and general washing.
- Spray Mode: Provides a powerful spray for rinsing dishes and cleaning the sink.
- Retraction: The hose weight ensures the sprayer head retracts smoothly back into the spout when released.

Image 6.2: The pull-down sprayer offers two distinct water patterns: a steady stream for filling and a wide spray for rinsing.
6.3 360-Degree Swivel Spout
The faucet spout can rotate 360 degrees, providing full sink access and flexibility for various kitchen tasks, suitable for both single and double sinks.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your APPASO faucet.
7.1 Cleaning the Faucet
- Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
- Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- The matte black finish is designed to be tarnish-resistant and anti-fingerprint.

Image 7.1: The faucet's SUS 304 Stainless Steel construction and lacquered finish provide resistance against corrosion, rust, scratches, and fingerprints, simplifying cleaning.
7.2 Cleaning the Sprayer Nozzle
- Mineral deposits can accumulate in the sprayer nozzle over time, affecting water flow.
- To clean, gently rub the rubber nozzles with your finger or a soft brush to dislodge any deposits.
- For stubborn deposits, unscrew the sprayer head and soak it in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
7.3 Ceramic Cartridge
The faucet is equipped with a high-quality ceramic cartridge, tested for 500,000 cycles to ensure long-lasting, leak-free performance.

Image 7.2: The durable ceramic cartridge ensures reliable, drip-free operation for over 10 years.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Aerator or sprayer nozzles clogged with debris/minerals; partially closed water supply valves. | Clean the sprayer nozzles (see Maintenance section); ensure water supply valves are fully open. |
| Leaks from Faucet Base | Loose mounting nut; improper sealing. | Tighten the mounting nut under the sink; apply plumber's putty or silicone sealant if necessary. |
| Leaks from Hose Connections | Loose connections; damaged O-rings. | Ensure all hose connections are tight; check and replace O-rings if damaged. |
| Sprayer Does Not Retract Fully | Hose weight improperly positioned or obstructed; hose tangled. | Adjust the position of the hose weight; ensure the hose is not tangled or obstructed under the sink. |
| Water Temperature Not Adjusting | Issue with the ceramic cartridge or water supply. | Verify both hot and cold water supply valves are open; if problem persists, contact customer support. |
