Setup

1. Battery Installation:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Power On/Off:

  • To power on, press the READ button.
  • To power off, press and hold the OFF/CLEAR button for a few seconds, or the device will automatically power off after 150 seconds of inactivity.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Single Distance Measurement:

  1. Point the device at the target.
  2. Press the READ button once to activate the laser.
  3. Press the READ button again to take a measurement. The distance will be displayed on the screen.

2. Continuous Measurement (Tracking):

  1. Press the Function button until the continuous measurement icon appears on the display.
  2. Press the READ button. The device will continuously measure and display the current distance, as well as minimum and maximum values.
  3. Press OFF/CLEAR to stop continuous measurement.

3. Area Measurement:

  1. Press the Function button until the area measurement icon appears.
  2. Press READ to measure the first side (length).
  3. Press READ again to measure the second side (width).
  4. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.

4. Volume Measurement:

  1. Press the Function button until the volume measurement icon appears.
  2. Press READ to measure length, then width, then height.
  3. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.

5. Pythagorean Measurement:

This function allows indirect measurement of height or distance using the Pythagorean theorem.

  1. Press the Function button until the Pythagorean measurement icon appears (e.g., for two-point or three-point Pythagorean).
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to measure the required sides (hypotenuse, base).
  3. The device will calculate and display the unknown side.

6. Addition and Subtraction:

  1. Take a measurement.
  2. Press the +/- button to select addition or subtraction mode.
  3. Take another measurement. The result will be added or subtracted from the previous measurement.

7. Unit Conversion:

  • Press the Unit button to cycle through available units: meters (m), inches (in), and feet (ft).

8. Historical Data Storage:

  • The device can store up to 30 sets of measurement data.
  • To recall historical data, press the Memory button (often indicated by a folder icon). Use the arrow buttons (if available, or +/-) to navigate through stored measurements.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device surface. Do not use organic solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Storage: If the device will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Lens Care: Keep the laser emitter and receiver lenses clean. Use a soft cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to avoid scratching.
  • Protection: Always use the provided carrying pouch to protect the device from dust and impact.

Troubleshooting
