Model: LR206BL | Brand: Tarter

Product Overview

The Tarter 200 Series 6ft Landscape Rake is designed for efficient smoothing, raking, and contouring of gravel or soil. Safety Information

Setup and Attachment

  1. Prepare Tractor: Position your tractor on a level surface. Ensure the tractor's engine is off and the parking brake is engaged.
  2. Attach to 3-Point Hitch: Align the rake's attachment points with your tractor's 3-point hitch arms. Securely attach the lower lift arms and the top link using appropriate pins and clips.
  3. Adjust Top Link: Adjust the tractor's top link to ensure the rake is level from front to back. This is crucial for effective operation.
  4. Set Angle: The Tarter 200 Series Rake features 5 angle settings. Adjust the rake head to the desired angle using the provided adjustment mechanism. A steeper angle increases aggressiveness for deeper raking, while a shallower angle is suitable for light smoothing.
  5. Verify Connections: Double-check all pins, clips, and bolts to ensure they are tight and secure before starting the tractor.

Operating Instructions

Standard Raking Operation

Debris Pushing Operation

For pushing accumulated debris, the rake can be reversed:

  1. With the tractor stationary and engine off, detach the rake from the 3-point hitch.
  2. Rotate the rake 180 degrees so the tines are pointing away from the tractor.
  3. Re-attach the rake to the 3-point hitch, ensuring all connections are secure.
  4. Lower the rake and use the tractor in reverse to push debris. This method is effective for clearing larger piles or windrows.
