The Tarter 200 Series 6ft Landscape Rake is designed for efficient smoothing, raking, and contouring of gravel or soil. - Set Angle: The Tarter 200 Series Rake features 5 angle settings. Adjust the rake head to the desired angle using the provided adjustment mechanism. A steeper angle increases aggressiveness for deeper raking, while a shallower angle is suitable for light smoothing.
- Verify Connections: Double-check all pins, clips, and bolts to ensure they are tight and secure before starting the tractor.
Operating Instructions
Standard Raking Operation
- Lower the rake to the desired working depth using the tractor's hydraulic controls.
- Engage the tractor's PTO (if applicable for your tractor setup, though not directly driving the rake, ensure proper tractor operation).
- Drive forward at a slow, consistent speed. The curved C-tines will effectively gather and move rocks, debris, and excess soil to the side, creating a smooth surface.
- Adjust the rake's angle and working depth as needed to achieve the desired result.
Debris Pushing Operation
For pushing accumulated debris, the rake can be reversed:
- With the tractor stationary and engine off, detach the rake from the 3-point hitch.
- Rotate the rake 180 degrees so the tines are pointing away from the tractor.
- Re-attach the rake to the 3-point hitch, ensuring all connections are secure.
- Lower the rake and use the tractor in reverse to push debris. This method is effective for clearing larger piles or windrows.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the rake head and tines to remove accumulated dirt, mud, and debris. This prevents rust and ensures optimal performance.
