1. Introduction

The SNDWAY SW-600A is a multi-functional laser rangefinder designed for accurate distance and speed measurements. It features an LCD lens for clear viewing, silent operation, and an automatic power-off system for energy efficiency. This device utilizes pulse laser technology, ensuring eye safety during use. It is suitable for various applications including golf, civil engineering, electrical installations, and general outdoor activities.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the device. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Laser Safety: This device emits a Class 1 laser, which is considered eye-safe under normal operating conditions. However, avoid staring directly into the laser beam or pointing it at others.

  • Eyepiece: For viewing the target and display.
  • Measurement/Power Button: Press to power on, initiate measurement, or switch modes.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the internal lithium battery.

  1. Connect the provided charging cable to the USB charging port on the rangefinder.
  2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The battery indicator will show charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

5.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the Measurement/Power button briefly. The display will illuminate.
  • To Power Off: The device features an automatic power-off system to conserve battery. It will turn off after a period of inactivity. Alternatively, press and hold the Measurement/Power button for a few seconds to manually power off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Selecting Measurement Mode

After powering on, press the Mode button to cycle through available measurement modes. The current mode will be indicated on the display.

  • Distance Measurement Mode: For measuring the linear distance to a target.
  • Speed Measurement Mode: For measuring the speed of a moving object.

6.2 Taking a Measurement

  1. Look through the eyepiece and aim the crosshairs at your desired target.
  2. Press the Measurement/Power button once. The laser will activate, and the measurement will be displayed on the screen.
  3. For speed measurement, ensure the target is moving perpendicular to your line of sight for best results.

Note: The maximum measurement distance may vary depending on the reflectivity of the target object and prevailing weather conditions.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the lens and body of the rangefinder with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Do not use chemical cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the rangefinder in its protective storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and recharge every few months.

8. Troubleshooting
