4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your HydraMini speaker. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the speaker's charging port (located under a protective flap) and plug the other end into a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours. The LED indicator will show charging status.

4.2 Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press and hold the Power button (⏻) located on the top panel until you hear an audible prompt and the LED lights illuminate. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the speaker shuts down.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Once powered on, the speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a blinking blue LED. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and select "Altec Lansing HydraMini" from the list of available devices. A successful connection will be confirmed by an audible prompt and a solid blue LED.

4.4 True Wireless Pairing (TWS)

For an enhanced stereo experience, you can pair two HydraMini speakers together. Power on both speakers. On one speaker, press the TWS button (often indicated by a chain link icon). The speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once paired, connect your device to one of the speakers via Bluetooth as described above.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Button Functions

The top panel of the HydraMini speaker features several buttons for controlling playback and features:

• Power Button (⏻): Press and hold to power on/off.
• Bluetooth/TWS Button: Press to enter Bluetooth pairing mode or initiate True Wireless Pairing.
• Lighting Modes Button (Sun/Star icon): Press to cycle through 5 LED light modes.
• Volume Down (-): Press to decrease volume.
• Just Ask Feature (Microphone icon): Press to activate your device's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).
• Volume Up (+): Press to increase volume.

5.2 LED Light Modes

The HydraMini offers 5 distinct LED light modes that can enhance your listening experience. Press the Lighting Modes button to switch between modes, including options that beat, strobe, and pulse to the music. To conserve battery life, you can also turn off the LED lights by cycling through the modes until they are off.

6. Maintenance

The Altec Lansing HydraMini is designed to be highly durable with its IP67 Everything Proof rating. This means it is protected against water immersion (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), dust, snow, and impacts.

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the speaker, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the speaker's finish or protective coatings. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed after charging to maintain its waterproof integrity.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Power

• Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable.
• Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just in standby mode.

7.2 Cannot Pair via Bluetooth

• Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (blinking blue LED).
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it's within range (up to 100 feet).
• Forget the speaker from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
• Restart both the speaker and your device.

7.3 No Sound or Low Volume

• Increase the volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
• Ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected.
• If using True Wireless Pairing, ensure both speakers are connected to each other and then to your device.

7.4 LED Lights Not Working

• Press the Lighting Modes button to cycle through the modes and ensure they are not turned off.
