1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ALFAJR CR-23B Ana-Digi Automatic Azan Wall Clock. This clock is designed to provide accurate prayer times and features for Muslim households, offices, and classrooms worldwide. It combines both analog and digital displays, offering convenience and clarity. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your clock.

The ALFAJR CR-23B features a high-quality digital Azan sound for all five daily prayers, including a complete Fajr Azan. It comes pre-programmed with major cities worldwide, and custom locations can be set using latitude, longitude, and GMT information.

• Keep the clock away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) side of each battery is inserted first, matching the polarity indicators inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

The clock operates on battery power. Ensure fresh batteries are used for optimal performance.

4.2 Wall Mounting

The ALFAJR CR-23B is designed for easy wall mounting.

1. Choose a suitable location on a wall, ensuring it is level and secure.
2. Use a screw or nail (not included) appropriate for your wall type.
3. Hang the clock using the integrated mounting hook located on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 2).

4.3 Initial Power On and Basic Settings

Upon battery installation, the clock will power on. You will need to set your location for accurate Azan times.

Use the control buttons on the side of the clock (refer to Figure 3) to navigate through the settings menu. Specific button functions will be detailed in the "Operating Instructions" section.

• City Selection: The clock has major cities pre-programmed. Select your city from the list.
• Custom Location: If your city is not listed, you can manually enter latitude, longitude, and GMT offset.
• Taqweem System: The clock uses the local or most commonly used Taqweem system for your selected city. Other standard Taqweem systems are available for selection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Azan Time Calculation and Adjustment

The clock automatically calculates accurate Azan times based on your selected city and Taqweem system.

• Automatic Adjustment: Once your location is set, the Azan times will update daily.
• Manual Correction: If minor adjustments are needed, refer to the clock's menu for prayer time correction options.

5.2 Automatic FAJR Alarm

This unique alarm feature adjusts daily relative to the Fajr Azan time.

1. Set the desired offset time from Fajr Azan (e.g., 15 minutes after Fajr Azan).
2. If Fajr Azan is at 5:00 AM and you set the alarm for 15 minutes after, it will ring at 5:15 AM.
3. The next day, if Fajr Azan shifts to 5:01 AM, the alarm will automatically adjust to 5:16 AM.

5.3 Daily Alarm

The daily alarm functions as a regular alarm, ringing at the same set time every day.

• Set a specific time for the daily alarm.
• Optionally, this alarm can be configured to not ring on weekends.

5.4 Qibla Direction Display

The clock can display the Qibla direction relative to the North.

• Access the Qibla display mode through the clock's menu.
• Ensure the clock is oriented correctly for an accurate reading.

5.5 Temperature Display

The current room temperature is displayed in Celsius (°C).

5.6 Azan Volume Control

Adjust the volume of the Azan sound to your preference using the dedicated volume control (refer to Figure 2 for location on the back panel, or consult the digital display for menu-based control).

• Cleaning: Wipe the clock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AA batteries when the display dims or the clock stops functioning correctly. Always replace with new, good quality batteries.
