The Shark Cordless Vertex Pro combines powerful cleaning performance with the convenience of a lightweight cordless design. Setup
Assembly:
- Insert the wand into the floor nozzle until it clicks securely into place.
- Insert the handheld vacuum into the top of the wand until it clicks securely into place.
- Ensure all connections are firm before use.
Initial Charging:
The vacuum comes with a removable Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery.
- To charge, remove the battery by pressing the release button and sliding it out.
- Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet and connect it to the battery.
- A full charge takes approximately 60 minutes. The IQ Display will indicate charging status.

Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off:
- Press the Power button on the handheld unit to turn the vacuum on or off.
Mode Selection:
The IQ Display allows you to select different cleaning modes based on your surface type and desired suction power.

- Carpet Mode: Ideal for deep cleaning carpets and rugs.
- Bare Floor Mode: Optimized for hard floors, including wood, tile, and laminate.

Using as a Stick Vacuum:
For floor cleaning, ensure the wand and floor nozzle are attached. The LED headlights will illuminate the cleaning path.

Using as a Hand Vacuum:
Detach the handheld unit from the wand for versatile cleaning of upholstery, stairs, and tight spaces. Attach the included crevice tool for enhanced reach.

Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Cup:
Empty the dust cup after each use or when debris reaches the MAX fill line.
- With the handheld vacuum detached, position the dust cup over a trash bin.
- Slide the CleanTouch Dirt Ejector lever to release the bottom of the dust cup, allowing debris to fall out.
- Close the dust cup until it clicks securely.

Cleaning the Brushroll:
The self-cleaning brushroll minimizes hair wrap, but occasional inspection and cleaning may be necessary.
- Turn off the vacuum and disconnect the floor nozzle.
- Inspect the brushroll for any tangled hair or debris. Use scissors to carefully cut away any wrapped hair.

Cleaning Filters:
Regularly clean the pre-motor and post-motor (HEPA) filters to maintain optimal suction.
- Pre-Motor Filters: Rinse with cold water at least once a month. Allow to air-dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling.
