3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to properly install your SJoyBring Rearview Camera. Professional installation is recommended for optimal results.

3.1. Mounting the Camera

The camera is designed for easy mounting on your vehicle's license plate frame. Ensure the camera has a clear, unobstructed view of the rear of your vehicle.

1. Identify the optimal mounting location, typically above the license plate.
2. Use the provided screws to securely attach the camera bracket to the vehicle.
3. Adjust the camera angle for the desired viewing perspective.

3.2. Wiring the Camera to Your Car Stereo

This process involves connecting the camera to your car's head unit (stereo/monitor) and power source. Refer to the diagram below for visual guidance.

1. Connect the camera's video output (yellow RCA) to the "CAM IN" or "Video IN" port on your car stereo/monitor.
2. Locate the reverse line (or back line) on your car stereo's wiring harness. This wire typically signals the stereo to switch to the camera view when the vehicle is in reverse.
3. Connect the red wire from the camera's power cable to the 12V+ positive terminal of your car's backup light.
4. Connect the black wire from the camera's power cable to the GND (ground) terminal of your car's backup light.
5. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

Important Note: The SJoyBring camera supports AHD video signal format (1280x720P 25fps or 1920x1080P 25fps). Before purchasing, verify that your car monitor or stereo supports the AHD format. If your monitor does not support AHD 1920x1080P, do not cut the white line on the camera cable.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Activating the Camera

Once properly installed, the camera will automatically activate when your vehicle is shifted into reverse, displaying the rear view on your connected car stereo/monitor.

4.2. Adjusting Parking Guide Lines and Resolution

The camera features adjustable parking guide lines and resolution settings. These adjustments are typically made through the settings menu of your car's head unit.

• Guide Lines: The camera comes with parking guide lines. If you wish to remove them, cut the green wire on the camera cable. To make them reappear, keep the green wire intact.
• Resolution: The camera supports 720P and 1080P resolutions. To switch to 1080P, cut the white wire on the camera cable. To revert to 720P, keep the white wire intact. After cutting, remember to restart your device and set up the reversing camera format in your head unit's settings.
• Adjusting Ruler Line: On certain head units, you can adjust the position and angle of the reversing ruler lines directly through the camera settings interface. Ensure to save any changes made.

  • Ensure your car stereo/monitor supports the AHD video signal format. Incorrect format settings can lead to a black screen or interference. Adjust the camera settings (NTSC/PAL, AHD 720p/1080p) in your head unit if applicable.
  • Confirm the camera is receiving power (e.g., check the backup light connection).
• Image Interference/Distortion:
  • Check for loose or damaged video cables.
  • Ensure proper grounding of the camera's power cable.
  • Avoid routing video cables near high-voltage wires or other sources of electrical interference.
  • Verify the correct video format (NTSC/PAL) is selected in your head unit's settings.
• Image Reversed (Left-to-Right):
