2. Safety Instructions

5. Setup and Connection
Follow these steps to safely connect the charger to your battery:
- Prepare the Battery: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If necessary, clean them with a wire brush.
- Connect Red Clamp: Attach the red positive (+) clamp securely to the positive battery terminal.
- Connect Black Clamp: Attach the black negative (-) clamp securely to the negative battery terminal.
- Plug into Power: Once both clamps are securely attached to the battery, plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet. The charger will automatically detect the battery voltage and begin the charging process.
To disconnect, reverse the order: first unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet, then remove the black negative (-) clamp, and finally remove the red positive (+) clamp.

6. Operating Modes
The NEXPEAK NC201 features a touch switch for selecting different operating modes to suit various battery types and conditions. The LCD screen will display the selected mode.

- STD (Standard): For standard lead-acid batteries.
- AGM/GEL: For AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) and Gel batteries.
- WET: For wet cell batteries.
- Motorcycle: Optimized charging for motorcycle batteries.
- Repair: Pulse repair mode designed to restore old, idle, damaged, stratified, or sulfated batteries. Select this mode by pressing the touch switch until the "Repair" indicator lights up.
The charger also automatically adjusts to ambient temperature, entering "Summer Mode" above 82.4°F (28°C) and "Winter Mode" below 50°F (10°C) to prevent over-charging or under-charging.

7. Charging Process and LCD Display
Once connected and powered on, the charger's intelligent automatic detection system will identify the battery type and condition, then initiate the appropriate 7-stage charging cycle. The LCD display provides comprehensive real-time information:

- Battery Status: Shows the current charge percentage (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).
