Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
Replace all 12 AA batteries when the battery indicator shows low power or when performance degrades. Always replace all batteries at once with new ones of the same type.
2. SD Card Management
Regularly check the SD card status via the app. When the card is full, replace it or format it (which will erase all data). It is recommended to format the SD card periodically to maintain optimal performance.
3. Cleaning
Gently wipe the camera lens and sensor window with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the housing seals clean and free of debris to maintain water resistance.
4. Weather Protection
While the camera is designed for outdoor use (IP67 rated), prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions can affect its lifespan. Ensure all latches are securely closed to prevent moisture intrusion. Consider additional protective measures in areas prone to heavy rain or snow.
Troubleshooting
- No Cellular Signal: Check antenna connection, ensure you are in a Verizon coverage area, and verify your data plan is active. Try repositioning the camera.
- No Images/Videos: Check battery level, ensure SD card is inserted correctly and not full, verify camera is powered on, and check motion sensor settings.
- Poor Image Quality: Clean the lens, check for obstructions, and ensure the camera is not too close or too far from the subject.
- Short Battery Life: Use high-quality alkaline or lithium batteries. Reduce the frequency of image/video capture or consider a solar panel accessory.
- Water Intrusion: Ensure all latches are fully closed and seals are free of debris. If water has entered, power off immediately, remove batteries and SD card, and allow to dry completely before attempting to use again.
