Model: 1

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Summer Waves Frame Pool Family. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and storage of your new pool. Please read all instructions carefully before setting up and using the pool. Keep this manual for future reference.

Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.

  • Adult supervision is required at all times when children are in or near the pool.
  • Never dive or jump into the pool. The water depth is not sufficient for diving.
  • Ensure the pool is set up on a firm, level surface. Uneven ground can cause the pool to collapse, leading to serious injury or property damage.
  • Keep children away from the pool when it is not in use. Secure access to the pool area.
  • Do not sit, stand, or climb on the pool frame.
  • Empty the pool completely when not in use for extended periods or for storage.
  • Always follow local regulations regarding pool fencing and safety barriers.

Setup Instructions

Assembly is required for this frame pool. It is recommended that two or more adults assist with the setup process.

  1. Site Selection: Choose a firm, perfectly level area in your yard. The ground must be free of sharp objects, debris, and excessive slopes. Ensure there is adequate space around the pool for safe entry and exit. Avoid setting up under power lines or near trees that drop leaves or sap.
  2. Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all pool components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent damage.
  3. Assemble Frame: Follow the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide (if included) to connect the metal pipes and connectors. Ensure all connections are secure and click into place.
  4. Install Liner: Once the frame is assembled, carefully spread the pool liner inside the frame. Ensure the drain plug is facing the desired drainage area. Smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the liner.
  5. Fill with Water: Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, continue to smooth out wrinkles from the center outwards. Stop filling when the water reaches the designated fill line, typically just below the top frame rail.
  6. Inspect for Leaks: Once filled, carefully inspect the pool for any leaks. If a leak is detected, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

Operating Instructions

Filling the Pool

After assembly, ensure the drain plug is securely closed. Begin filling the pool with a garden hose. Monitor the water level and stop filling when it reaches the recommended fill line, typically indicated on the inside of the pool liner or just below the top frame rail. Do not overfill.

Water Treatment

To maintain clean and safe water, it is essential to treat the pool water regularly. Consult a local pool supply store for appropriate chemicals and testing kits. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for all chemical products. Regular testing and adjustment of pH and chlorine levels are crucial.

Draining the Pool

To drain the pool, locate the drain plug. Attach a garden hose to the drain valve (if applicable) and direct the other end to a suitable drainage area, away from foundations or areas that could be damaged by large volumes of water. Open the drain plug to allow the water to flow out. Once empty, clean and dry the pool thoroughly before storage.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your Summer Waves Frame Pool.

  • Regular Cleaning: Use a pool skimmer to remove debris from the water surface. Vacuum the pool bottom as needed.
  • Water Chemistry: Test water chemistry daily or every other day. Maintain recommended levels for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity.
  • Liner Inspection: Periodically inspect the pool liner for any signs of wear, tears, or punctures.
  • Frame Inspection: Check the metal frame components regularly for rust, corrosion, or loose connections. Tighten any loose parts.
  • Repair Patch Usage: In case of a small puncture, use the included repair patch kit. Clean and dry the area around the puncture thoroughly. Apply the patch according to the kit's instructions, ensuring a tight seal. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to cure before refilling the pool.

Storage

When the swimming season ends, proper storage will protect your pool and extend its lifespan.

  1. Drain and Clean: Completely drain the pool as described in the Operating Instructions. Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the liner with mild soap and water. Rinse completely.
  2. Dry Completely: Ensure the pool liner and all frame components are completely dry before disassembling. Moisture can lead to mold, mildew, or corrosion.
  3. Disassemble: Carefully disassemble the metal frame, following the reverse steps of assembly.
  4. Fold and Store: Fold the liner neatly to prevent creases and damage. Store the liner and frame components in a dry, cool place, protected from extreme temperatures and pests. Keep all small parts in a sealed bag.
