Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.

2. Caster Wheel Installation

The four caster wheels are included for easy mobility. Gently tilt the unit and insert each caster wheel into the designated slots at the bottom of the dehumidifier until they click securely into place. Ensure all wheels are firmly attached before placing the unit upright.

3. Placement

Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface that is strong enough to support the unit with a full water bucket. For optimal performance, ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of air space on all sides of the unit to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid placing the unit near heat-generating appliances or in direct sunlight.

Operating Instructions

1. Turning On/Off

Press the Power button on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.

2. Setting Desired Humidity Level

Use the Humidity Setting buttons (usually up/down arrows) to set your desired humidity level. The display will show the current humidity level and then switch to show your set humidity. The unit will operate until the ambient humidity reaches the set level, then cycle off. It will restart automatically if the humidity rises above the set level.

3. Drainage Options

Your dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal:

a. Manual Drainage (Water Bucket)

The unit collects water in its internal 50-pint bucket. When the bucket is full, the Bucket Full Indicator will light up, and the unit will automatically shut off. Carefully remove the bucket, empty the water, and reinsert it firmly into the unit. The dehumidifier will resume operation once the bucket is properly reinstalled.

b. Continuous Drainage

For continuous operation without needing to empty the bucket, you can connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the direct-to-drain port at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water to a suitable floor drain or sink. This feature is ideal for prolonged use in very humid environments.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your dehumidifier.

1. Cleaning the Air Filter

The dehumidifier is equipped with a washable/reusable air filter. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and cause the unit to work harder. Clean the filter every two weeks or when the Filter Reset Indicator lights up.

  1. Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
  5. Once the filter is reinstalled, plug in the unit and press the Filter Reset button (if available) or power cycle the unit to clear the indicator.
