5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your washing machine.
5.1 Cleaning the Lint Filter
The lint filter collects cotton fiber and dirt during the wash cycle. It should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every few washes, to maintain efficiency. Locate the lint filter inside the tub, remove it, clean it under running water, and reinsert it.
5.2 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
5.3 Tub Cleaning
Periodically run a self-clean cycle (if available) or a normal wash cycle with hot water and a washing machine cleaner to remove detergent residue and prevent odors.
5.4 Winterization (if applicable)
If storing the machine in a cold environment, ensure all water is drained from the hoses and tub to prevent freezing and damage.
