5. Setup and Installation
The Aigostar Solar Flood Light offers two primary installation methods: separated and integrated.

Figure 3: Installation Methods. This diagram visually explains the two ways to install the solar flood light: with the solar panel and light separated or integrated.
5.1. Choosing an Installation Location
- For the Solar Panel: Select a location that receives direct sunlight for the majority of the day. Unobstructed sunlight exposure is crucial for optimal charging.
- For the Flood Light: Choose an area where illumination is desired, such as a patio, garage, pathway, or backyard.
5.2. Separated Installation
This method allows the solar panel to be placed in a sunnier location, even if the desired lighting area is shaded. The solar panel and light are connected by a 6.5ft cable.
- Mount the solar panel in your chosen sunny location using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure it is angled to maximize sun exposure.
- Mount the flood light in the desired illumination area.
- Connect the cable from the solar panel to the flood light. Ensure the connection is secure and waterproof.
5.3. Integrated Installation
This method involves mounting the solar panel directly onto the flood light unit, suitable for locations where both the light and panel can receive adequate sunlight.
- Attach the solar panel bracket to the flood light unit.
- Mount the combined unit in a location that receives direct sunlight and provides the desired illumination.
After installation, ensure the light head is adjusted to the desired angle (up to 180° horizontally) for optimal light coverage.

6. Operating Instructions
The Aigostar Solar Flood Light is designed for automatic operation but can also be controlled manually using the included remote control.
6.1. Automatic Dusk-to-Dawn Operation
The light features a built-in photocell sensor that automatically detects ambient light levels:
- During the day, the solar panel will charge the internal battery. The light will remain off.
- At dusk, when ambient light levels drop, the flood light will automatically turn on.
- At dawn, when ambient light levels increase, the flood light will automatically turn off and resume charging.

Figure 5: Dusk to Dawn Functionality. This image illustrates how the light automatically turns off and charges during the day, and turns on at dusk.
6.2. Remote Control Functions
The remote control provides additional control over the light's operation:

Figure 6: Remote Control Introduction. This image details the various buttons and their functions on the remote control, including dimming, automatic modes, and timing options.
- ON/OFF: Press to manually turn the light on or off.
- Dimming Mode (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%): Adjust the brightness level of the light. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to fine-tune brightness.
- Automatic Mode (AUTO): Activates the dusk-to-dawn sensor. The light will turn on automatically at dusk and turn off at dawn.
- Timing Mode (3H, 5H, 8H): Set the light to stay on for a specific duration (3, 5, or 8 hours) after activation, regardless of ambient light. After the set time, the light will turn off.
Note: The remote control has a memory function, retaining the last selected setting.

Figure 7: Remote Control in Use. This image demonstrates the convenience of using the remote control to adjust settings for the solar flood light in an outdoor environment.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your solar flood light.
- Clean the Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
- Check Connections: Occasionally inspect the cable connection between the solar panel and the light unit to ensure it remains secure and free from damage.
- Clear Obstructions: Ensure no new obstructions (e.g., growing tree branches, new structures) are shading the solar panel.
- Battery Care: The internal lithium battery is designed for long-term use and does not require user maintenance. Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
