Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Place the handset in the base unit to charge. Allow at least 16 hours for the initial charge. The CHARGE indicator light on the handset will illuminate during charging.

2. Base Unit Connection

  1. Connect the small end of the power adapter to the POWER jack on the back of the base unit.
  2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
  4. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
  5. Position the base unit on a flat surface or mount it on a wall (wall mount hardware not included).

3. Connect to Cell (Bluetooth Pairing)

This feature allows you to make and receive cell phone calls using your VTech cordless handset.

  1. Ensure your cell phone's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable.
  2. On the VTech handset, press MENU/SELECT.
  3. Scroll to Bluetooth and press MENU/SELECT.
  4. Select Pair Cell and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your cell phone.
  5. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will appear on the handset display.

Operating Instructions

Making and Receiving Calls

  • To make a call: Press TALK/FLASH or CELL, then dial the number.
  • To answer a call: Press any key (Any Key Answer feature).
  • To end a call: Press OFF/CLEAR or place the handset in the charger.
  • Speakerphone: During a call, press SPEAKER to activate the full-duplex speakerphone.
  • Volume Control: Use the VOLUME buttons on the side of the handset during a call.
  • Mute: Press MUTE during a call to mute your microphone.

Phonebook and Caller ID

  • Download Phonebook: Up to 1000 cell phone contacts can be downloaded to the handset. Access this feature via the MENU/SELECT button under the Bluetooth options.
  • Caller ID History: The phone stores up to 50 caller ID entries (name and number). Press CID to review.
  • Redial: Press REDIAL to view the last 10 dialed numbers.

Special Features

  • Call Block: Block unwanted numbers through the menu settings.
  • Quiet Mode: Temporarily silence all ringers.
  • ECO Mode: Reduces power consumption for extended battery life.
  • Voicemail Waiting Indicator: An indicator light or icon will notify you of new voicemail messages.
