Figure 4: Illustrates the versatility of the SteamOne Karl XL, suitable for various fabric types including cotton, wool, polyester, jeans, silk, linen, and muslin.
- General Steaming: Hold the steamer head close to the fabric, but not touching, and press the steam trigger. Move the steamer in a downward motion, allowing the steam to relax the fibers and remove wrinkles.
- For Stubborn Wrinkles: Gently press the soleplate against the fabric while steaming. The stainless steel soleplate with lamellae is designed for deeper steam penetration.
- Using Brushes: Attach the fabric brush for heavier materials like coats or upholstery, or the silk brush for delicate items. These brushes help to open the fabric weave for better steam penetration and can remove lint.
- Antibacterial Function: The powerful steam (98°C, 30g/min) eliminates 99.99% of viruses, germs, and bacteria from your garments, providing a hygienic refresh.
- Automatic Shut-off: The steamer features an automatic shut-off system for safety when the water tank is empty or if left inactive for a period.
The 400ml tank provides approximately 27 minutes of continuous steaming, depending on the steam level selected.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your SteamOne Karl XL Garment Steamer.
After Each Use:
- Empty Water Tank: Always unplug the steamer and allow it to cool down completely. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water. This prevents mineral buildup and bacterial growth.
- Clean Soleplate: Wipe the stainless steel soleplate with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residue. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
If you notice reduced steam output or white residue, descaling may be necessary. While using distilled water minimizes this, it may still occur over time.
- Ensure the steamer is unplugged and cool.
- Fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water.
- Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
- Steam the solution until the tank is about half empty, directing steam into a sink or bucket.
- Unplug and let it cool for 30 minutes.
- Repeat the steaming process with the remaining solution.
- Empty the tank and rinse thoroughly with fresh distilled water.
- Fill with fresh distilled water and steam until no vinegar odor remains.
Storage:
Store the steamer in a cool, dry place. Ensure the water tank is empty and the appliance is completely dry before storing. Use the provided travel bag for compact and protected storage.
