The FS2011 detector features a clear LCD display that shows real-time dose rate and cumulative dose. The front panel includes several control buttons:
- Power Button (Orange): Turns the device on or off.
- MENU/OK Button: Accesses the menu and confirms selections.
- Up Arrow Button: Navigates up in menus or increases values.
- Down Arrow Button: Navigates down in menus or decreases values.
- Play/Pause Button: May control data logging or specific measurement modes.
5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
The EVTSCAN FS2011 requires two AA batteries (not included) for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide or gently pry open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the orange Power Button until the LCD screen illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the orange Power Button until the device shuts down.
6.2 Understanding the Display
The LCD display shows key radiation information:
- Dose Rate: Displayed in μSv/h (microsieverts per hour), updated per second. This indicates the current level of radiation.
- Cumulative Dose Equivalent: Shows the total accumulated radiation dose over time.
6.3 Setting Alarms
The device supports various alarm settings:
- Press the MENU/OK button to enter the settings menu.
- Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to navigate to the alarm settings.
- Press MENU/OK to select and adjust alarm thresholds for dose rate and cumulative dose. The device offers 3 alarm modes and various thresholds.
- Confirm your settings by pressing MENU/OK.
- A protection alarm will sound if the dose rate exceeds the set threshold, typically within 5 seconds.
6.4 Real-time Monitoring
The FS2011 provides 24-hour real-time monitoring. Once powered on, it continuously measures and displays radiation levels. Users can monitor the environment for beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
