1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • Do not use this heater outdoors.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

  1. Power/Mode Selector Knob: Used to turn the heater ON/OFF and select heating modes.
  2. Thermostat Control Knob: Used to set the desired room temperature.
  3. Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the heater is operating.
  4. Air Vents: Located on the front and top for heat emission.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your heater for first use.

  1. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from walls, furniture, curtains, and other flammable materials. Do not place it directly under a power outlet.
  2. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched OFF (Power/Mode Selector Knob set to '0'). Plug the power cord into a suitable 230V AC wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Imetec Eco Rapid Electric Heater offers multiple temperature settings and a thermostat for optimal comfort.

6.1 Powering On and Selecting Mode

  1. Turn the Power/Mode Selector Knob to one of the following settings:
    • Setting 1 (Low Heat): Approximately 1200W for gentle heating.
    • Setting 2 (High Heat): Approximately 2000W for rapid heating.
    • Setting 3 (Fan Only): Circulates air without heat.
    • Setting 4 (Turbo Ventilation): Provides rapid heat distribution.
  2. The Power Indicator Light will illuminate, indicating the heater is active.

6.2 Setting the Thermostat

  1. Once a heating mode is selected, turn the Thermostat Control Knob clockwise to the maximum setting.
  2. When the room reaches your desired temperature, slowly turn the Thermostat Control Knob counter-clockwise until you hear a "click" and the Power Indicator Light turns off.
  3. The heater will now automatically maintain this temperature, cycling ON and OFF as needed.

6.3 Energy Saving Operation

6.4 Shutting Down

To turn off the heater, rotate the Power/Mode Selector Knob to the '0' (OFF) position. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet when not in use for extended periods.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and proper care will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

7.1 Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from the air intake and exhaust vents.
  4. Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.

7.2 Storage

When storing the heater, keep it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
