4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the fan heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface, ensuring it is at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from walls, furniture, and curtains. Do not place it directly under a power socket.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched off (turn the control knob to '0' or 'OFF'). Plug the power cord into a suitable 240V AC electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Imetec Eco Ceramic Fan Heater features a control knob for power and temperature settings, and a thermostat knob for ambient temperature control.

  1. Power On/Temperature Selection:
    • Turn the main control knob clockwise to select the desired operating mode:
    • Fan Only (Cool Air): For air circulation without heat.
    • Low Heat (Warm Air): For gentle heating, typically 1200W.
    • High Heat (Very Warm Air): For rapid and powerful heating, typically 2000W.
  2. Thermostat Adjustment:
    • Once a heat setting is selected, turn the thermostat knob (usually the inner knob) clockwise to increase the desired room temperature.
    • The heater will operate until the set temperature is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.
    • Turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise to decrease the desired temperature.
  3. Power Off: Turn the main control knob counter-clockwise to the '0' or 'OFF' position. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use for extended periods.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your fan heater.

  1. Cleaning the Exterior:
    • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

  2. Cleaning the Anti-Dust Filter:
    • The anti-dust filter is located at the rear of the unit.
    • Gently remove the filter cover and the filter itself.

    • Rinse the filter under running water if necessary, ensuring it is completely dry before reinserting.
    • Reattach the filter and cover securely.

7. Troubleshooting
