4. Setup

4.1. Hard Drive Installation

The DVR comes with a 1TB HDD preinstalled. If you need to replace or install a new hard drive, follow these steps. Ensure the DVR is powered off before proceeding.

  1. Unscrew the casing: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the sides and back of the DVR.
  2. Open the casing: Carefully slide off the top cover to expose the internal components.
  3. Connect SATA cables: Connect the SATA power and data cables from the DVR's motherboard to the hard drive.
  4. Secure the HDD: Align the hard drive with the screw holes on the bottom of the DVR chassis and secure it with screws.
  5. Close the casing: Replace the top cover and secure it with the screws.

4.2. Initial Connections

After installing the hard drive, connect the essential peripherals.
