Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your record player:

  • Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the record player away from direct sunlight, dust, and excessive moisture.

Stylus Care

The stylus (needle) is a delicate component. Handle it with care to ensure optimal sound quality and longevity:

  • Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers.
  • Clean the stylus periodically with a soft brush, brushing from back to front.
  • Replace the stylus if you notice a decrease in sound quality or visible damage.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Victrola Journey record player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and a working wall outlet. Check if the Power/Volume knob is turned ON.
  • No Sound: Verify that the Function Knob is set to the correct input (Phono, BT, or Line In). Adjust the Power/Volume knob. If using external speakers, ensure they are powered on and correctly connected to the RCA outputs.
  • Skipping Record: Ensure the record is clean and free of dust. Check if the record player is on a stable, level surface.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Issues: Make sure the record player is in Bluetooth pairing mode (BT indicator flashing). Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
