3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting the Keyboard

  1. Locate the USB-C port on the back of the keyboard.
  2. Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  4. The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) as a standard HID device. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

3.2 Initial Power-On

Upon successful connection, the keyboard's RGB lighting will illuminate, indicating it is powered on and ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Key Functions

The keyboard features a standard 61-key layout. Most keys function as labeled. For keys with secondary functions, use the Function (Fn) key.

4.2 Function (Fn) Key Combinations

The Fn key (usually located near the bottom right of the keyboard) allows access to secondary functions printed on certain keycaps. Hold down the Fn key and press the desired key to activate its secondary function.

  • Fn + [Key]: Specific multimedia controls, arrow keys, or other system functions may be accessed this way. Refer to the keycap legends for exact combinations.

4.3 RGB Lighting Control

The keyboard offers various RGB lighting effects. Use the following Fn key combinations to customize the lighting:

  • Fn + \|: Cycle through different lighting modes.
  • Fn + [Arrow Keys]: Adjust brightness or speed of lighting effects (specific combinations may vary, refer to keycap legends).

4.4 Hot-Swapping Switches

This keyboard supports hot-swappable switches, allowing you to change switches without soldering. This feature enables customization of typing feel and sound.

  1. Remove Keycap: Use the keycap puller tool to gently remove the keycap from the switch you wish to replace.
  2. Remove Switch: Use the provided switch puller tool. Align the prongs of the puller with the two small tabs on the top and bottom of the switch housing. Squeeze the tabs and gently pull the switch straight up and out of the PCB.
  3. Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it; if resistance is met, check pin alignment.
  4. Replace Keycap: Press the keycap onto the new switch stem until it is firmly seated.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance.

  • Dust Removal: Use compressed air to blow away dust and debris from between the keycaps.
  • Keycap Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the keycap puller. Wash keycaps with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe the keyboard surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

5.2 Switch and Keycap Replacement

As detailed in Section 4.4, switches can be replaced if they become faulty or if you desire a different typing experience. Keycaps can also be replaced for aesthetic customization or if they wear out.
