Setup

1. Initial Winding

Your mechanical watch requires manual winding to initiate its movement. For the first use, or if the watch has stopped, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position (Position 0).
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 18-20 times. This will provide the watch with approximately 36 hours of power reserve.
  3. The watch will start running shortly after winding.

If worn regularly, the automatic movement will keep the watch wound through your arm's motion. If not worn for an extended period, manual winding will be necessary.

Video 1: Demonstrates how to adjust the time and manually wind the watch. The crown is pulled out to set the time, then pushed back in. The crown is then rotated clockwise to wind the watch, providing power reserve.

2. Setting the Time

To set the time on your watch:

  1. Gently pull the crown out to Position 1 (one click).
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into Position 0 to engage the movement and start the watch.

3. Adjusting the Bracelet

The watch comes with an adjustable stainless steel bracelet. If the bracelet is too loose or too tight, links can be added or removed. A specialized tool (often included with the watch) is required for this adjustment. If you are unsure, it is recommended to have this done by a professional watchmaker to avoid damage.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Movement

This watch features an automatic self-winding mechanical movement. It harnesses the kinetic energy from your arm's natural movements to power itself. When worn daily, it typically does not require manual winding. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (e.g., 24-36 hours), it may stop and will need to be manually wound as described in the "Initial Winding" section.

Moon Phase Display

The watch includes a moon phase indicator, which visually represents the current phase of the moon. This feature also helps distinguish between day and night hours.

Luminous Hands

The watch hands are treated with a luminous material, allowing you to read the time in low-light conditions after exposure to light.

Water Resistance

This watch is designed with 30M (3 ATM) water resistance, suitable for daily life activities such as hand washing or light rain. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, diving, or any water sports where it would be submerged or exposed to high-pressure water.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For the metal bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to harsh chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, crystal, or strap.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, which can affect the movement's accuracy and seals.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones) as these can magnetize the movement and affect timekeeping accuracy.
  • Impact: Protect the watch from strong impacts or drops, which can damage the delicate internal components.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a dry, cool place, preferably in its original box or a watch case.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Watch has stopped or is running slowly.Insufficient power reserve.Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 18-20 times. Ensure regular wear for automatic winding.
Time is inaccurate.Watch is not fully wound, exposed to magnetic fields, or requires adjustment.Ensure the watch is fully wound. Keep away from strong magnets. If inaccuracy persists, consult a professional watchmaker. Mechanical watches may have slight variations in timekeeping.
Bracelet clasp feels loose.Wear and tear or minor misalignment.Inspect the clasp for any visible damage. If it's a minor issue, a watch repair shop might be able to adjust it.
Condensation under the crystal.Exposure to extreme temperature changes or compromised water resistance.Immediately take the watch to a professional watchmaker. Do not attempt to open it yourself, as this can cause further damage.
