1. General Safety Instructions

2. Product Overview

The Parkside PKSA 20-Li is a cordless chainsaw designed for comfortable and efficient sawing tasks. It features a high-quality 10-inch Oregon bar and a durable, cut-resistant Oregon chain. The tool-free chain tensioning system simplifies adjustments, and the automatic chain oiling system ensures consistent lubrication during operation. Safety features include a quick-release kickback brake, a robust claw stop, and a non-slip handle with a safety switch. This device is compatible with all batteries from the Parkside X 20 V Team series.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the chainsaw is switched off and the safety switch is engaged.
  2. Align the 2 Ah battery pack with the battery slot on the chainsaw.
  3. Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove, press the release button on the battery and slide it out.

3.2 Bar and Chain Installation

  1. Place the guide bar onto the chainsaw studs.
  2. Carefully fit the chain around the sprocket and into the guide bar groove. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction.
  3. Install the side cover and tighten the retaining knob.
  4. Adjust the chain tension using the tool-free tensioning system. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand.

3.3 Chain Oil Filling

  1. Locate the oil reservoir cap, typically on the top of the chainsaw.
  2. Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with the provided 180 ml organic chain oil.
  3. Do not overfill. Replace the cap securely.
  4. Regularly check the oil level during operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Chainsaw

  1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed.
  2. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands, ensuring a secure grip on the non-slip handles.
  3. Engage the safety switch, then press the trigger to start the motor.
  4. Allow the chain to reach full speed before making contact with the material to be cut.
