3. Setup Guide

3.1 SIM Card Installation

  1. Ensure the router is powered off.
  2. Locate the nanoSIM card slot, typically found on the bottom or side of the device.
  3. Insert the nanoSIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Push until it clicks into place.
  4. Note: If your SIM card has a PIN, it is recommended to disable the PIN on a mobile phone before inserting it into the router for easier setup.

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power adapter to the power input port on the rear of the router.
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. Press the Power On/Off button on the top panel to turn on the router. The indicator lights will illuminate.

3.3 Initial Network Connection

Once powered on, the router will automatically attempt to connect to the 4G/4G+ network. The signal strength LEDs and Internet Status LED on the front panel will indicate the connection status.

  • Wi-Fi Connection:
    1. On your computer or mobile device, search for available Wi-Fi networks.
    2. Select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the label at the bottom of the router.
    3. Enter the Wi-Fi password (Key) also found on the router's label.
  • Wired Connection:
    1. Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports (LAN1-LAN4) on the router to the Ethernet port on your computer or other network device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Accessing the Web Management Interface

To configure advanced settings, access the router's web management interface:

  1. Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. In the address bar, type the router's default IP address (usually 192.168.8.1 or 192.168.1.1) and press Enter. The exact IP address can be found on the router's label.
  3. Enter the username and password. The default credentials are often "admin" for both, but check the router's label for specific details.

From the web interface, you can manage Wi-Fi settings, network modes, connected devices, parental controls, and more. The interface supports multiple languages.

4.2 Wi-Fi Configuration

The router supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/AC Wi-Fi on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, allowing up to 64 devices to connect simultaneously (32 on each band).

  • Changing SSID and Password: Navigate to the Wi-Fi settings in the web interface to customize your network name and password for enhanced security.
  • WPS Function: Press the WPS button on the top of the router and then the WPS button on your Wi-Fi device to quickly connect without entering a password.

4.3 Using the RJ11 Phone Port

The RJ11 port allows you to make and receive calls using the SIM card's number or by configuring a VoIP/SIP account.

  1. Connect an analog or DECT phone to the RJ11 port on the router.
  2. If using the SIM card for calls, ensure your SIM plan supports voice calls.
  3. For VoIP/SIP, configure the account details within the router's web management interface under the telephony or VoIP settings.

4.4 External Antenna Connection

For improved 4G signal reception, you can connect external 4G antennas to the two SMA connectors on the rear of the router. This is particularly useful for optimizing signal strength and stability, especially when pointing towards a specific 4G tower.

4.5 Advanced Features

The router offers a comprehensive interface for advanced users, including:

  • IP and MAC address reservation.
  • Frequency selection for 4G bands.
  • Router IP address change.
  • DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) support.
  • Integrated L2TP/PPTP VPN client.

Place the router in an open area, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and other electronic devices that may cause interference. For best 4G signal reception, consider placing it near a window.
